It is important to correctly diagnose tongue or lip ties and only treat if absolutely necessary. At TinySmile Dentistry we repair tongue or lip ties using the Biolase Epic X dental laser. This is an easy pain free procedure that can be performed in the chair with local anaesthesia. If your child is a little anxious the procedure can be safely performed with Nitrous Oxide (laughing) Gas. Post-op pain is also greatly reduced if compared to conventional scalpel surgery.
